Shaft Cryostat for Research in 6-300K for NERA-PR Spectrometer of IBR-2.

       In Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics a shaft cryostat for neutrons inelastic scattering was developed. The cryostat was installed on inverted geometry time-of-flight spectrometer NERA-PR of IBR-2 Entrance diameter of shaft are defined by width of reflecting neutron guide. Adjustable temperature range is 6-300K. Traditionally In Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics Traditionally Gifford-MacMagon cryrefrigerators use . For the first time in Russia pulse tube cryorefrigerator was appllied as a cooler by us. We decided on Cryomech PT-405 cryorefrigerator as well-known device. All Pulse Tube Refrigerators reach cryogenic temperatures without the displacers that cause vibrations. This reduction of the cold moving parts increases the mean time between maintenance, while decreasing noise and vibration. The PT405, a two stage Pulse Tube Refrigerators obtains a low temperature of < 2.7K
